Thirty local agencies and services set up booths or provided activities throughout the day.

More than 500 persons attended Kidz Kraze, a festival that combines fun activities and educational opportunities, held May 31, 2003 at Okeena Park in Dyersburg. "It's a great day to come out, have fun, learn a lot and eat a lot," said organizer Nicole Schlecht of Sports Plus. While Kidz Kraze was originally designed to help families learn about resources available to children with special needs, Schlecht said it includes information any parent needs to know.

JCIL distributed info about "TEASING and Kids with Disabilities"

Most everybody gets teased some of the time...it doesn't take  a disability to be chosen as the 'victim'.  When you do have a problem that others notice, though, it often seems like you're the only one being teased! Remember that teasing could be about ANYTHING! 

A lot of time kids tease when they're scared or when they don't understand what's going on or when they're just plain unhappy.
