WELCOME TO THE DISCO BALL

Steve Bowers, Greg Wood, and News/Talk 101.5 did an outstanding job with the Daybreak Disco Ball at the Garden Plaza Hotel, Thursday, June 1, 2000.  All proceeds ($856) went to the Jackson Center for Independant Living.

J-CIL made $856 at the DAYBREAK DISCO BALL which adds up to $2,568.00 (with the federal match) for services for people with disabilities. Thanks WNWS NEWSTALK 101.5 FM.

 

Madison County Mayor Alex Leech presents award to Garden Plaza Hotel Manager Thompson recognizing the hotel for hiring people with disabilities. The award was from JCIL, the Stat Center, the Optomist Club and the Department of Human Services, Division of Rehabilitation Services.

It was a great event but we had forgotten that to "party" means you have to stay up late. Disco Duck wishes to thank the Dart Throwers for making room for our party but since when did a duck tail look like a bull's eye? Oh well, let the feathers fly and the good times roll.
