FACTS: 100 percent of your United Way Contributions to JCIL are used to provide direct services for individuals with disabilities and not used for salaries, travel or any type of administrative expense. Your contributions STAY IN YOUR COUNTY to provide assistive devices and home modifications. At JCIL, United Way means INDEPENDENCE for PEOPLE with disABILITIES.

2006/2007 Services in Carroll County
Thank you, Carroll County, for the $1,000 United Way allocation. To date JCIL has invested $2,415 in Carroll County. It was used to build these two ramps, to assist a person in relocating to an accessible home and to make a Carroll County resident more independent by assisting with transportation needs. We also assisted a person in Bruceton in purchasing a home by acquiring them a $15,000 grant and another home purchase is pending in Carroll County. We are happy for the opportunity to have served these 6 people but 22 people with disabilities still remain on the waiting list for services.

In 2005-2006, 4 individuals were served by our Accessible Housing Program in Carroll County including 2 with home modification and equipment services at a cost larger than our United Way allocation. Two other Carroll County families are now first-time homeowners by JCIL acquiring $14,999 THDA grants for each.

	In 2003/04 with $2,700 UW contributions, JCIL invested $6,919.98 in Carroll County.
	In 2002/2003, Carroll County United Way contributors invested $2.700 in JCIL... ... and JCIL invested $5,963.79 in Carroll County serving 12 families by proving 18 services for people with disabilities including home modifications, transportation, bathroom equipment, employment and peer support. In 2001/2002, Carroll United Way invested $2.700 in JCIL. JCIL invested $4,290.00 in Carroll County serving 6 families with home modifications, power wheelchairs, bathroom equipment and peer support. In 2000/2001, Carroll United Way invested $2.700 in JCIL. JCIL invested $4.788.56 in Carroll County.
