100 percent of your United Way Contributions to JCIL are used to provide direct services for individuals with disabilities and not used for salaries, travel or any type of administrative expense. Your contributions STAY IN YOUR COUNTY to provide assistive devices and home modifications. At JCIL, United Way means INDEPENDENCE for PEOPLE with disABILITIES.

2007-2008 REPORT: UW Allotment $2,000. JCIL invested $4,447.20 in Haywood County to provide attendant services, ramp repair, housing assistance, a computer, a hoyer lift and an air mattress. We assisted a person relocate from a nursing home and another person stay out of a nursing home. 24 people with disabilities attended our fishing rodeo at Oneal Lake.

2006/2007 Allotment = 0
At this time two individuals in Haywood County have received services totaling $4,000. We are pleased to report that by partnering with another United Way agency our services allow one person in Haywood County to live at home instead of a nursing home. Fifteen individuals remain on our waiting list until funds are available to provide the needed services


2005-2006 REPORT: At this time three individuals in Haywood County have received services – one with emergency services - totaling $4,400. That's not a bad return on a $200 allocation. Thirteen individuals remain on our waiting list until funds are available to provide the needed services.

In 2004/2005, Haywood Country United Way invested $1,000 in JCIL and we invested $7,468 in Haywood County by providing 8 services to 7 individual including: 4 Wheelchair Ramps, Grab Bars, Hand Rails,Wheelchair Repairs, Head Set for Computer and Attendant Care Services,


In 2003/2004, Haywood County United Way was unabled to fund JCIL but we were abled to invest $5,900 in Haywood County.


In 2002/2003, Haywood United Way invested $1,000 in JCIL.
JCIL invested $6,675 in Haywood County serving 6 families with services including home modifications, transportation, attendant services, computer equipment, van and peer support.


In 2001/2002, Haywood United Way invested $1,000 in JCIL.
JCIL invested $8,132.29 in Haywood County serving 7 families with 11 services including home modifications, transportation, attendant services, computer equipment, van and peer support.

In 2000/2001, Haywood United Way invested $1,000 in JCIL.
JCIL invested $5,022.28 in Haywood County serving 8 families with ramps, shower stall, van, bed, attendent, computer, telephone and medicine.
